Getting Started
This page is your go-to resource for beginning your journey in the Sunrise portal. Here you'll find a summary of the essential first steps needed to set up and navigate the portal effectively.
What is the Sunrise Portal?
The Sunrise portal is a sovereign Swiss cloud platform designed for secure, scalable deployment of AI, blockchain, and enterprise IT workloads.
Built on a hybrid infrastructure of virtual machines and containers, the Sunrise portal supports both Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, enabling teams to orchestrate applications using familiar tools and DevOps pipelines. Confidential computing is integrated at the hardware level, and middleware isolation provides additional runtime protection, making it suitable for sensitive, regulated, and high-performance workloads.
In addition to traditional IaaS and PaaS capabilities, the Sunrise Portal offers sovereign infrastructure services purpose-built for:
- AI Workloads — Model training, inference, and orchestration on sovereign Swiss infrastructure.
- Blockchain Environments — High-assurance compute and compliant storage for distributed ledger workloads.
- Multi-Tenant Architectures — Strict data residency and governance requirements with flexible tenancy models.
